Southwest Florida motorcycle enthusiasts can rev their engines for yet another Bike Night in Cape Coral.

Saturday is the second of four free events on Cape Coral's newly renovated Southwest 47th Terrace where live music, good times and smokin' rides reign supreme.

Nearly 20,000 people come out to enjoy the festive atmosphere of Bike Night -- which is especially festive during the holiday season. Bike Night is now in its 15th season, where everyone can get a look at all styles and makes of hogs, choppers and more.

"We're looking forward to having a large crowd and to everyone celebrating the holiday cheer, Bike Night style," said Todd King, special events coordinator with the city of Cape Coral.

The event is open to the public beginning at 5 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m.

Live entertainment on the main stage features Signal III, a rock 'n' roll band made up of members of the Cape Coral Police Department and the Lee County Sheriff's Office, taking to the stage from 6-7:30 p.m.

"Everybody has hidden talents, it's awesome to see our officers rock the stage," King said. "And they're only getting better."

Red Hannah serves as the headliner for the event, rocking the stage from 8:30-10. p.m. The band, King said, is made up of former members of the popular group A200.

"We're excited to have them at Bike Night and rock out for the people," King said.

For this Bike Night, the main stage will be located on 10th Place, next to Nevermind.

"There's nothing like good local rock 'n roll and a cold beer," King said.

The Special Events Division with Cape Coral said Bike Night is a staple in the city, and it only hopes to improve the event with construction now complete in the downtown area.

"It's iconic," King said of Bike Night. "We plan significantly all year for it. Now that streetscape is complete, Bike Night is a new project, with new standards. We're excited to get the community out to enjoy some music and show off their motorcycles."

As we're in the midst of the holiday season, the Special Events Division said all involved try and ramp up the festive element.

Staff said they are looking forward to seeing attendees dress up in their holiday garb, "Harley style."

Vendor Village, located in what's usually the Nevermind parking lot, will have all of your food and beverage needs, as well as gear for your bike.

King said this is a great time to get some holiday shopping done, not only for motorcycle enthusiasts. There will be vendors of all types at the event and is a great way to support local businesses.

Food trucks and beer tents will be scattered the area, and if you're looking for a new feature to add to your Harley, Yamaha, Honda, Ducati or other brand, chances are you'll find it from a vendor at Bike Night.

SWFL Grateful Dead Bike Night, featuring tribute band Unlimited Devotion, will be offered at Rockade at the Dixie Roadhouse beginning at 8 p.m. Bring a toy for Toys for Tots. Cover charge for the second annual Merry Verry Jerry Christmas will be $5.

Parking will be located on the south side of Southeast 47th Terrace and in the Iguana Mia parking lot.

Motorcycle street parking is permitted until 11:30 p.m. After that, motorcycles will be towed at the owner's expense.

The Rockstar Harley Slow Bike Races have been cancelled for December Bike Night.

Associates & Bruce L. Scheiner has been a key sponsor for Bike Night 12 years running, and the firm is an advocate for motorcycle safety.

"When we first started the law firm, we had a strong commitment to the welfare and safety of the motorcycle community," Scheiner said, in a prepared statement. "We have always supported the motorcycle community in Southwest Florida."

The next Bike Night will take place Feb. 8, followed by the final Bike Night of the season on April 11.
