Cape police issue missing person alert

Late Sunday night, the Cape Coral Police Department issued a missing endangered person alert. Emma Christine Winslow, 32, who police described as a white female standing 5-foot-8, weighing 135 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes, was last heard from at approximately 4:20 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, when she contacted a friend via phone stating she had fallen and injured herself.

Police report that Winslow had also made vague statements of possible self-harm prior to that. All attempts to contact her have been unsuccessful. She was last seen in Cape Coral, though is believed to be somewhere in South Fort Myers, police said.
