Lee County Mosquito Control District assists with Woodstock Road maintenance

Early Wednesday morning, the Lee County Mosquito Control District arrived with heavy equipment to contribute its part to the road maintenance of Wood-stock Road.

The road is a private road that has been maintained by the residents of the street for many years.

In a comment from LCMCD Deputy Director Eric Jackson, "The District is assisting with routine maintenance on the road by providing equipment and personnel. The maintenance of Woodstock Road and Redwood Drive has been completed by neighbors pooling their resources together through monetary donations and/or labor. As new neighbors, we are pleased to contribute to the effort."

"We have a road maintenance committee that gets out there to fill in pot holes and even out the grading," neighborhood committee chairman Dave Grueser said. "We don't really have the right equipment so we really appreciate LCMCD helping us. Woodstock Road and Redwood Drive have never looked better."
