Jam session featured at Olde Fish House

June 6, 2018
By ED FRANKS ( , Pine Island Eagle

Thursday afternoons may seem an unlikely time for live music on Pine island, but local favorite Molly Brown thinks otherwise.

"Stop in to the Olde Fish House Marina Restaurant and Seafood Market on any Thursday from noon to 3 p.m. and you'll find a plethora of musicians playing together," Brown said. "These sessions are an open mic musical jam sessions we've named 'Hippy Salad'."

Hippy Salad musicians Molly Brown and Aimee Linn Burns enjoy hosting this open jam and always look forward to working and playing with other musicians. All PA equipment and microphones are provided, as well as guitars, bass and percussion. Bring your talent, and an instrument if you like, to join in.

Olde Fish House owners Lisa and Nicole Dence offer many different beverage and food specials throughout the day.

Anyone may sign up to play or sing, from first-timers to seasoned professionals. It does have to be a live performance rather than music enhanced by pre-recorded backing tracks.

Come out and play in Matlacha with the Hippy Salad Girls on Thursdays from noon to 3! For more information, call Brown at 239-292-8707.
