Dan Adler

February 22, 2018
Pine Island Eagle

Dan Adler passed away suddenly on February 15. Dan was a resident of Pine Island for nearly 30 years and totally loved his life here.

He was born in Key West, Florida where his father was serving in the US Navy. He moved with his family to Idaho, Hawaii, South Carolina and Connecticut before settling on Pine Island. He was the owner of Adler Plumbing and served many of the island residents. When the plumbing jobs were finished, Dan went fishing! He loved to be out on the water casting his rod and enjoying nature and wildlife. He was also an avid friend to the birds and his yard was always frequented by ibis, ducks, doves, osprey and even red shouldered hawks. They all enjoyed splashing in his bird bath.

Dan will be very sadly missed by his family-- his parents, Roy and Sandy Adler, his brothers Tim Adler and Greg Adler, his sister Karen Rosenthal and her husband Stephen Rosenthal and his niece and nephew Jenna and Eric Rosenthal and by his many friends.

If anyone wishes to make a donation in Dans memory, he was a long-time supporter of the Calusa Land Trust.
