My most sincere thank you

Pine Island Eagle

To the editor:

I want to extend all my love and heartfelt gratitude to my Sister Hookers for the most wonderful farewell party they surprised me with at Olde Fish House Marina!! (Debbie Cundall and Karen McKee ... you are very sneaky!! lol)

It was so overwhelming! The day was filled with so much love and friendship that it is hard to put into words! (and you all know that doesn't happen to me often!)

I want to thank everyone who presented me with a gift, each one was so very special! The quilt done by Melva and Jenn blew me away, the beautiful commemorative plate shall always have a place of pride in our home, the gorgeous cake (that fed practically everyone in Matlacha!) was so very delicious!

My sincere thanks to Billy McKee and Principal Hook for all their nice words! So very much taken to heart! Thanks to Molly and Amy for providing great tunes! Love you both! Thank you Lisa and your staff, you all are so very wonderful!

Then it was on to 7 Seas Bait and Tackle for more music by Corky and BLT and more fun! Thank you Jim Frock for being such a wonderful friend these many years!

Oh my Sister Hookers were not done with me yet! On to Miceli's where more Hookers and more friends came to dance to the music of Rick Russel and Stringtown! Thank you Rick for your beautiful words! They meant a lot to me!

This move is so very bittersweet for Dana and I! We know we must go but leaving our "Island Family" is so very hard! We have loved every minute of our 22 years here! Each and everyone of you will be missed but shall forever remain in our hearts!

We shall never say goodbye just "See you later!"

Again I say thank you all so very, very much,

Nancy Goodwin

Founder of the Matlacha Hookers
