The Modern Woodmen of America presented a matching funds check for $2,500 to the Beacon of HOPE Thursday.

"This is a Modern Woodmen program to raise funds for anyone impacted by Hurricane Irma or Harvey," local representative Liz Martin said. "This is a matching funds program we organized with the Beacon of HOPE."

"The Beacon of HOPE raised a total of $2,500 at the Holiday House this year and the $2,500 in the check presented today comes from the Modern Woodmen," Beacon president Jane Bennington said.
