You, too, can quit smoking

To the editor:

O.K., we all know that smoking is an addiction, and we all know that smoking is no good for your health, causes cancer, etc.

But the brain, which is very potent, is capable of overcoming addiction, I know, I smoked for 20 years starting at the age of 11 to 31.

But when I found out the facts, I quit and there's no reason why anybody can't quit. Add to that you're jeopardizing other people's health by smoking around them.

If you add up all the pluses for not smoking, you'll come out way ahead of the minuses, especially in the money department.

Plus it's a bad influence on your kids and grandkids. What more is there to say except ... DUH!
